The Kinsmen Creed
The KINSMEN way is the way of Christ and his church. We believe that brothers dwelling in unity is the necessary, redemptive counter script to the self-reliant, comparison-driven culture we live in. We believe in deep friendships and the power of generous, gospel hospitality. We will feast together, celebrating and resting in the abundance of our Father’s table. We will seek to show honor to one another and to those who love sacrificially. And we will demonstrate communities of belonging in the places God has sovereignly positioned us in.

Glossary of Terms
Belonging
Belonging
ἐστε (este)
Belonging is a foundational need for every man. Much of how we experience life is shaped by whether we feel rooted in a people and a place. We are committed to creating environments where men feel genuinely seen, known, and welcomed—spaces of brotherhood where growth and challenge happen in healthy, non-manipulative ways. In true belonging, men are free to become who God has uniquely called them to be.

Church
Church
ἐκκλησίαν (ekklēsia)
Kinsmen gatherings and initiatives flow from a deep love for Christ’s Church. While we are not a church ourselves, we are led and made up by men who are actively engaged in the life of the Church—both gathered in worship and scattered in mission. We exist as an extension of Jesus’ call to make disciples of all nations, serving alongside local churches to see His Kingdom come in every sphere of life.

Demonstration
Demonstration
ἀποδείξει (apodeixis)
When belief and behavior align, conviction turns into action. At Kinsmen, we aren’t just about conversation—we’re about transformation. This is a space for honest dialogue, but also a catalyst for courageous, redemptive action in the world God has placed us. What men need most today is a demonstration of what it looks like to love one another with the great love of God.

Feasting
Feasting
ἑορτῆς (heortē)
As sons of God, we are invited to fully partake in the abundant provision of our Father’s table. Feasting is both a spiritual picture and a tangible practice—a reminder of God’s goodness and a call to rest in His grace. When we gather around a meal, we do so in celebration of His presence, provision, and the fellowship we share as brothers.

Friendship
Friendship
φιλία (philia)
We value authentic relationships over superficial networking—believing that faithful friendships shape our character, strengthen our faith, and anchor us in our identity as sons of God. Because in deep, Christ-centered friendships, we come to know our own stories, the stories of our brothers, and how they are woven into God’s grand redemptive story. Friendship is the essential nutrient, found in the soil where spiritual formation takes root.

Generous
Generous
εὐμεταδότους (eumetadotos)
To live generously is to carry a redemptive edge into everyday life, opening your schedule, table, and wallet so others can flourish. Formed by the Gospel, a generous man practices sacrificial presence: he contends in prayer, invests his resources, and leverages his influence—not for self-advancement, but to advance God’s Kingdom and call his brothers into true sonship. This kind of generosity shapes us into men who reflect the heart of the Father, resulting in flourishing lives, families and communities.

Gospel Hospitality
Gospel Hospitality
εὐαγγέλιον (euangelion)
φιλοξενίαν (philoxenia)
We believe in serving with excellence, motivated by a deep desire to care for the soul. More than simply meeting felt needs, we aim to address the deeper needs of the heart. We believe that true hospitality happens when a man is seen, heard, and valued for who he is and not just for what he does. This kind of care requires intentional attunement to others and thoughtful attention to detail, and it’s extended without any expectation for personal gain.

Honor
Honor
τιμὴν (timē)
As brothers in Christ, we are called to recognize and celebrate those who embody sacrificial love, radical service, and gospel mission in the places where God has called them. We seek to honor one another by serving with humility, showing respect, and putting each other’s needs above our own. This is the way of Christ—and the way of true brotherhood.

Place
Place
τόπον (topos)
We believe that physical places matter to God. Where we live, work, and worship is not random—it is spiritually significant. God is present and active in specific locations, and as men, we are called to be rooted, attentive, and faithful in the places He has assigned to us. We are stewards and witnesses, bearing the presence of Christ in our homes, neighborhoods, vocations, and communities. The flourishing in and through our lives directly correlates to our being faithful right where we are.

Redemptive
Redemptive
ἀπολύτρωσιν (apolytrōsis)
To be redemptive is to join God in renewing what is broken, bringing healing, hope, and wholeness into every sphere of life. Redemptive presence transforms ordinary responsibilities into sacred callings. It means integrating an active, dependent faith into our vocation and through our lives as men and fathers—leading with humility, sacrifice, and love—not for personal gain, but for the good of others and the glory of God.
